2012 Hyundai Veloster Recognized for its "GOOD DESIGN"

The 2012 Hyundai Veloster has no shortage of awards to show off in its introductory model year. The three-door coupe from Hyundai has already been named as the "Best Economy Car" by Bloomberg, and its 1.6-liter Gamma engine won a spot on the "Wards 10 Best Engines" list. Now it looks like the 2012 Veloster has one more accolade to add to the list, as it was recently bestowed with a "GOOD DESIGN" award.

What are the "GOOD DESIGN" Awards? Simply put, they recognize advancements that are made in a wide range of fields from electronics to cars. The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have been putting the awards on for sixteen years now, and with each year the two organizations continue to find new and inspiring designs to add to their growing list visually appealing work.

Of course, this raises the question of how exactly the 2012 Hyundai Veloster wound up on the list, and as it turns out, there's more than one reason behind this brilliant choice. First, there's the obvious reason, which is vehicle's unique, three-door design. The vehicle occupies the compact coupe segment, but it features the same ease of access that many four-door sedans boast. In terms of usability, this is a fantastic design. Then there's the actual design language of the Veloster. More specifically it draws inspiration from a racing helmet, which can be seen in the vehicle's distinctive black A-pillars in the front, which work to make the front windshield look like a visor of sorts.

Regardless of its inspiration, the 2012 Hyundai Veloster is a vehicle that's bound to turn heads wherever it goes. If this unique design speaks to you, then don't hesitate to check out the Veloster at Manly Hyundai (2755 Corby Ave Santa Rosa, CA 95407) today.
