Powering the Sonata SE and SEL models is a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. The SEL Plus and Limited are equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 180 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. Both powerplants are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
